Tthe VG3 features variable placement for the tungsten weights on the sole depending on the iron just like on the driver. The different weight placement varies the launch between different irons depending on that iron. For example the longer irons 4 and 5 feature weighting on both the toe and heel of the sole increasing MOI and distance off center shots. This makes hitting the long irons easier and increases distance. On the 6 and 7 irons, the weighting is placed more towards the center of the sole to increase launch and lower CG.

The new VG3 is premium Japan forged by Endo which is capable of most advanced multi piece forgings. The VG3 is longer from heel to toe and features small offset with a mid sized top line and sole.
